Curious about trying out Guix instead of nixos. I've been impressed by some of the features and stability in guix and want to try them out.

However, downloading the latest iso had proved challenging- the last two times I've popped onto guix.gnu.org the mirror has been down.

I've heard of guix.moe and snagged one of the installers from there but can't load it in an emulator.

I'm sure I'm missing some of the guix lore that will make this easy. Are there any newer articles I should read to wrap my head around the state of guix? Tips tricks etc?

I've not looked at it since like 3 years ago, so I'm sure my knowledge is out of date.
